Kruger Pride Safaris

We undertake half and full day safaris, from Marloth Park, into the southern park of Kruger National Park with a qualified and experienced guide.

There are 2 public pools we are aware of, the first is in Hank Van Rooyen Park, entrance off Marula street.  The pool is a large one, adjacent restaurant with views of the Kruger and Crodocile River allow for a relaxing meal or snack.  The pool has washrooms.  The 2nd pool is at Watergat Restaurant and Pub in the Bush Center on Olifant. the main tar road, this pool is open to people who patronize the restaurant and pub. Washrooms there as well as a large grassy area adjacent to the pool.  You will have to bring your own towels at both these pools, currently they are free from information given to us.   There are also lots of services in the Bush Center including Supermarket, bottle store, bakery, security offices.

Just a 20 minute drive you can fish along the Komati River, bring your tackle, a beautiful setting where you can fish at mulitple locations along the river bank, common catches are Tiger Fish, Muddies, Bream, Catfish, Car & Sun Fish, cook up your catch after a rewarding scenic day. Lots of spots to fish under some shade, nearby stores may have fresh bait or bring your own worms or grubs etc  Komatipoort sporting good store has supplies 5 minutes away, they can also give you tips on getting bait or what you need to be successful. Buy a license.

Mini Putt Putt Golf

Located adjacent to the Bush Center this nice activity is inexpensive and fun !  Interesting and unique it is fun for all ages and demographics. No need to bring anything, they have it all.  Takes about an hour or 2 depending on how long you want to play, some water holes and interesting challenges will keep you laughing.  Lots of shade provided by beautiful trees, benches to chill out, they also offer pizza, bevies and snacks.

Bush Walk

Have a walk in the bush, everywhere you go there are interesting little things that will keep you entertained. Bring your binocualars and cameras, you will be busy as there is lots to see and enjoy, have a contest to see who can spot the most animals, birds, rodents, list goes on and on, of course be careful and look where your going ! As there will be lots of trees with thorns as this is Africa ! Caution about snakes, of course this is important, you can hire a bush walk guide. Give us a call we can set this up for you.

Biking / Cycling / Mountain Biking

Very popular ! Tons of people ride their bikes to get exercise while being entertained by mother nature, this is endless, the park has lots of elevation changes for those who want to get the heart pumping.  The Mini Golf at the Bush Center rents out bikes at the time of this posting. Bring your own of course.  There are lots of gentle places to ride where you can just enjoy a fairly flat ride along the Crocodile River

Geo Cashing

The newest fun activity somewhat of  global craze.  Using the GPS on your phone you work at finding treasure cashes that people have hidden with nice surprises, this uses satellites. A wide variety of themes you can participate in. Fun for all ages !  Need more info http://www.geocaching.com/

Self Guided Game Drive

Simply get in your vehicle and drive anywhere in the park, you will surely see lots of animals as they roam freely, some of the best spots are along the Crocodile River as it borders Kruger National park. Dont worry your safe, an electric fence prevents any of the dangerous animals from entering Marloth.  There are several view points along Seekie which is the busiest of the streets, all along here there are viewpoints where you can stop and sit on a bench or just stroll along and see what action might deliver a nice surprise.  Note always be careful as there is no guarantee that animals such as leapords can get over the fence, this is very rare.
Self Guided Game Drive to Lionspruit Park – Access off Wildgoose this park is very inexpensive and also has electric fences to keep those animals inside, there are 2 Rhinos, 2 Lions and all the regular antelope, just no elephants. No sightings of hippos have been reported to us, there are several watering holes with hides and a lovely spot where you can have a braai in a covered fenced area, room for several groups, washrooms there as well.

Bird Viewing

Just about anywhere you go there are an abundance of birds to enjoy. Its really fun to try to identify them.  There are books in many of the stores.  The best book has a pen with a speaker and microphone in it. Sappy pen they call it, you simply swipe the pen on the image in the book and it tells you what bird it is and plays the song.  A worthy investment if your a “Birder”

Elephant Interaction / Safari Combo

Half hour Safari and Half Hour Elephant interaction, Horseback rides. 40 km from Marloth located in a private game reserve with the big 5. Also microlight flights pending weather conditions.

Quad Biking

At Gate #1 the one with the gravel road there is a place to rent Quad Bikes, there is a nearby farm where you can ride and play.  Visit the office adjacent to the gate to book or just show up and rent.

Play Golf

There are several nearby options here. The closest is in Komatipoort, Kambaku, a 9 hole championship course with clubhouse, restaurant and bar offers an undulating well maintained course in a beautiful setting. This course borders Kruger across the Crocodile River where it meets with Komati River. Stunning views. Enjoy seeing game while you play golf !   Contact Information  – Director of Golf: Nardus Broodryk Cell: +27 (0) 83 258 4915
The 2nd Golf Option is Melalane Golf Club, located close to the Melalane Gate to Kruger, nice 18 hole course with clubhouse, about 25 minutes from Marloth Park.
The 3rd option is Leopard Creek, host of the famous annual Sunshine & European Tours Alfred Dunhill Championship. This is a private club, if you know a member there you can possibly get invited to play. A magestic setting with 5 star amenities.  Located adjacent to the Melalane Gate to Kruger.
The 4th golf option is Skukuza Golf Club, going on a Game Drive to Kruger, stay overnight? You could do both. There is a 9 hole course here that is becoming quite popular, the camp offers a wide variety of accommodation through San Parks

Shopping, Shopping Shopping!
